The Liturgy Committee is open to those who wish to contribute to the development of the liturgical life of the parish. The role of this committee is to help create vibrant, meaningful, liturgical celebrations that encourage the full, active and conscious participation of the entire assembly. This committee helps plan major liturgical feasts/seasons and special celebrations throughout the year, discusses the duties of each liturgical ministry and trains ministers, discusses environment and decorating issues, implements the directives of new church documents as necessary, and explores many other topics relating to the fruitful, prayerful celebration of the liturgy. This committee meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm.
Mission: An altar server is a lay assistant to a member of the clergy during a Christian religious service. An altar server attends to supporting tasks at the altar such as fetching and carrying, ringing the altar bell and so on.
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion
Mission: Volunteers for this ministry assist the Presider in the distribution of the Eucharist at all parish liturgies. Special training sessions are provided in the Fall and at other times during the year when the need arises. With the large number of ministers needed at some Masses, we encourage you to become one of our special servers at the Lord’s table.
Mission: Ushers and Greeters are Ministers of Hospitality and include men, women and young adults who assist at Mass and other services. They greet parishioners in the vestibule, assist in seating the congregation, take up the collection, prepare the Gifts for offertory, assure an orderly communion procession, respond to special needs of parishioners, straighten up after the Mass/Service, assist new parishioners who wish to register in the parish, and provide hospitality.
Mission: Volunteers for this ministry proclaim the Word of God at our weekly and daily liturgies and at other various special prayer services during the year.

Mission: Cleanliness, being next to Godliness, we in the Altar Linen Ministry are privileged to ensure that all cloths and linens used at Mass, at liturgical ceremonies and at baptisms are worthy of God’s Altar. We are responsible for making sure the correct Liturgical colors are used on the Altar, Ambo and Tabernacle, for each season or feast day.
Chair: Barbara Brienza Phone: 277-5025
Mission: The Floral Committee makes sure floral arrangements are made during certain liturgical seasons, such as Christmas, Easter and Pentecost and for special celebrations such as First Communion and Confirmation. Also, during the months of May and October fresh flowers are kept in front of the Blessed Mother. These arrangements are donated by parishioners who wish to remember a deceased relative. The sign up sheet for these special occasions is usually available a month ahead of time and information is published in the weekly church bulletin. More floral arrangers are always appreciated as well as assistants.
