Adoration Chapel

(Montgomery Area Perpetual Adoration Chapel)

Chair:  Joan Lynch                        Phone: 288-6620

Mission: Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is a Catholic devotion and is the adoration of Our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Catholics join together to provide around the clock adoration and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament which is continuously exposed.  The Holy Eucharist is the sacrament of God’s infinite generosity towards man.  Those who are generous and willing to make a sacrifice by committing to one hour are the ones who bring down God’s blessing upon themselves, their loved ones, and on all humanity.   Are you are able to watch one hour with Our Lord?  You will find our Chapel at Our Lady Queen of Mercy Church at 4421 Narrow Lane Road.   Our vigil there has been continuous for almost two decades.   You may call our coordinators to schedule an hour:

Pricilla Berry      Phone: 288-3292

Beth Russo         Phone: 244-7866

You may choose the day and hour convenient for you.  If you cannot commit one hour, you are welcome to make visits anytime. Also, you can place your name on a list of substitutes who cover for adorers who are unable to attend one of their hours.  Please come, He is waiting for you.

Alliance of the Two Hearts

(Montgomery Area Perpetual Adoration Chapel)

Chair: Marc Karam    Phone: (334) 727 - 8991      Email: karammarc@gmail.com

Mission: The Alliance of the Two Hearts - the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary - at Holy Spirit Catholic church is a prayer ministry that witnesses to the special bond between the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of His Mother Mary by holding an all-night vigil of Adoration and Reparation on the First Friday/First Saturday of every month.

Goal: The first goal is to celebrate the Unity and Love between the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, so that the hearts of all of us be united to their Hearts and to each other in peace, love, and humility following their example. The second goal of the all-night vigil is to offer Reparation to the Two Hearts for the sins committed by mankind against them, as requested by Our Lord from St. Margaret Mary Alacoque (Apparitions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at Paray-Le-Monial, France, 1673) and as requested by Our Lady in her apparitions at Fatima, Portugal, in 1917.

Objective: Contemplative prayer is at the Heart of the Church and earns immense Graces upon those who practice it and upon those they pray for. The objective of the Alliance of the Two Hearts is to offer prayer to God by means of the monthly vigil of Adoration and Reparation on the first Friday/First Saturday of the month so that tremendous Graces of Conversion, Healing, Virtue, Growth, and much more be poured not only on the Clergy and Parishioners of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, but also on the whole Montgomery Area, as well as the Archdiocese of Mobile, as well as the State of Alabama, as well as the whole USA country, as well as the WHOLE WORLD, just as we pray in the Divine Mercy Chaplet: “Have Mercy on us and on the WHOLE WORLD”!

Membership: All persons interested in contemplative prayer in union with the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary are welcome to attend the vigil of the Alliance of the Two Hearts at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, who meet for prayer once per month on the evening of the First Friday of each month till the morning of the next day, the First Saturday of the month. On the month where First Friday and Saturday don't follow each other (when the beginning of the month falls on a Saturday) the vigil of Adoration an Reparation in held on the First Friday/Second Saturday weekend.

Activities: The monthly format of the First Friday/First Saturday of the month Vigil of Adoration and Reparation consists of opening the vigil on the First Friday of each month by praying the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary at 8:30 pm followed by Mass in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at 9:00 pm. Then Our Eucharistic Lord is exposed on the Altar for all-night Eucharistic Adoration that ends at 9:00 am the next day (First Saturday of each month) with a Mass in honor of the Immaculate Heart of Mary followed by the Joyful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary. The vigil is open to all who desire to attend. The church is open all night, and all are encouraged to participate in the Masses, and to spend time in Adoration as long as they desire and their schedule permits.

Prayer Line

Co-Chair: Maureen Moore    Phone: 279-5848     Email: drtsm@charter.net
Co-Chair: Lois Miller               Phone: 277-4415    Email: lomil@knology.net

Mission: The Prayer Line provides spiritual support through prayers to those who request them.

We have approximately 80 pray-ears on the Prayer Line.  A request comes in and it is passed on by Robo call and email. Each prayer  then prays in their own way for the request. Sometimes there is a long lull between requests and at other time there are 2:3 a day.

We pray for those in need in all aspects of life for those of family, friends and our world. All requests are passed on.

It's a very important and rewarding ministry as prayer does work. I try to give updates when I receive them so our prayers can see how effective their prayers have been.

We have no meetings. It's been a very important ministry to the homebound who want to participate  in our church community but can't get to the church. Also, for those working odd hours and those who don't like meetings.
